Social Media and Digital Manager plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing the online presence of a high-end hotel through various social media platforms. They assist with database maintenance, departmental projects, website edits, and resort promotions, as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management:
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Monitor and respond to social media interactions and messages.
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Digital Specialist:
  • Manage and update website content, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with the web development team to enhance user experience and functionality.
  • Assist and create targeted emails to get through multiple segments and databases.
  • Upload and monitor digital materials through Issuu.
  • Copy Editing:
  • Edit and proofread various types of internal and external content including signage, promotional materials, newsletters, website content, and articles for clarity, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Work with team members to ensure all written materials are engaging and meet communication goals.
  • Qualifications:
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management and digital communications.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Salesforce, Mailchimp and Icontact.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.

This role requires a combination of creativity, copy writing, photography/communication skills, and a strong understanding of the luxury hospitality industry. The Social Media Coordinator should be able to align the hotel's online presence with its overall brand strategy while staying responsive to online conversations and trends. Assists and supports with the gathering, creation, execution and follow-through of marketing tasks, collateral, projects, and events as necessary to maintain consistency and efficiency for the resort
