The purpose of this position is to orchestrate and influence the work of others to enhance Kaweah Health's mission and vision and to achieve strategic priorities of the nursing division. Demonstrates high-level leadership accountability focused on safety and the requisite infrastructures necessary to meet expectations of the patients and families served.

Required: Three years clinical experience in the Cardiovascular service line area. Five years of management experience in nursing leadership.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Oversees and provides leadership, direction, guidance and coordination for the cardiovascular programs and services between the different programs and sites to assure continuity, alignment and cost effectiveness.
Along with the medical directors, articulates a clear vision provides leadership, and accountability for Cardiovascular services initiatives in the market, assesses growth potential, and establishes focus growth and market plan, including physician recruitment.
Participates in monthly meetings with Cleveland Clinic and utilizes other Cardiovascular service line market leaders in the development of service line enhancements.
Sets goals and objectives of the service line's strategic plan in coordination with the medical directors, medical staff and key organizational stakeholders based on organization and community need. Assists with action plan development and removes barriers to these goals and objectives.
Facilitates and organizes educational programs for referring professionals in primary and secondary markets.
Represents the Kaweah Health's Cardiovascular service line at meetings of organizations, agencies, and interest groups.
Stays abreast of regulatory, technological, financial and reimbursement changes influencing the services in the Cardiovascular service line and oversees the coordination and successful completion of all surveys by regulatory, licensing and accrediting agencies. Recommends strategies to address regulatory changes in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Participates in the preparation of the service line budget, monitors service line performance, and initiates action plans, as necessary, to reach operating budget. Coordinates with other areas leadership and develops and monitors a long-range capital budget for the specialties in the service line.
Works with the medical directors and the Performance Improvement staff on data for public reporting and the development of annual quality plan. Implements and evaluates the quality improvement initiatives with the medical directors and develops key performance indicators.
Assesses outcomes relating to patient and staff satisfaction, continuity of care and program effectiveness and access/market volumes, costs and contributions.
Responsible for all service line related reports for distribution/publication.
