Are you passionate about driving sustainability forward with real, measurable impact? We’re looking for a motivated professional to join our team as a CSRD Financial Specialist. In this pivotal role, you’ll coordinate financial and non-financial data, manage critical sustainability metrics, and ensure transparent, compliant reporting in alignment with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Working closely with diverse teams across Finance, IT, and Data Management, you’ll play a key role in shaping Nutreco's sustainability narrative. From overseeing report submissions to contributing to our strategic goals, your work will be essential to aligning Nutreco’s operations with our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) values.
About The Role: Coordinate and enhance Nutreco’s sustainability reporting
Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and submission of non-financial reports to ensure compliance with environmental, social and governance standards, including but not limited to ESRS
Keep track of non-financial reports and disclosure requirements, and support efforts to close reporting gaps (metric and narratives)
Oversee the adequate collection, validation, and storage of non-financial data, including supporting the design and implementation of proper data quality controls where applicable
Analyse and identify data quality issues, providing feedback to BUs and IT & Data teams on opportunities to optimise data quality, collection processes and systems to minimise workload when collecting primary data.
Monitor and acknowledge industry trends, regulations, and emerging developments to advise the organization and adapt the CSRD strategy, accordingly, including support on understanding the impact of EU Taxonomy on Nutreco
Drive selected projects independently, collaborating with other departments; and work cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, HR, IT, and other departments to reach CSRD goals and fill CSRD reporting gaps.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within ESG or sustainability initiatives; and experience in non-financial reporting.
Strong understanding of CSRD, ESRS regulations, and double materiality analysis.
Fluency in English and effectively communicating and networking with business and stakeholders (Dutch is also preferred, but not mandatory)
Soft skills like analytical strength, collaboration, relationship-building skills, good communication and a proactive mindset with the ability to drive projects independently.
