We work extensively with Hitachi Japan engineering teams, hence we are looking for people who have proven Japanese and English speaking skills to help us set up engineering teams to build long-term partnerships and provide product content. Requirements:

– Written and spoken Japanese language proficiency (equivalent of JLPT N1 or N2, it is not mandatory to have an official JLPT certification)

– Written and spoken English language proficiency (equivalent of B2 or higher)

– Hands-on experience in IT project management – best in the area of software development life cycle

– Understanding of software development methodologies and their implications for project deliverables

– Prior experience with people management

– Openness to work with Japanese culture

– Proven communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate working between Japan and CEE-based teams

– Ability to make decisions with a limited amount of information

– Ability to guide the team through uncertainty and complexity to deliver agreed content

– Self-reliant

Job Responsibilities:

– Develop, execute, and maintain project plans and deliverables

– Establish and maintain trustful and effective communication with the end customer(s) and GL project team(s)

– Tailor processes to achieve high-quality results

– Monitor, manage, and mitigate project risks

– Manage distributed project team working on the solution

– Identify opportunities for improvement

– Report project status and challenges to the stakeholders in an organized manner
