Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Analyst specializing in U.S. payroll processing! At Kraken, our mission is to ensure seamless and accurate payroll operations, enabling our organization to focus on driving success and growth in the crypto industry. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our payroll system and ensuring timely and precise compensation for our employees.

The opportunity
End to End Full Cycle Payroll Processing which includes ability to assist with activities associated with execution of assigned payrolls, including collection and validation of inputs and error resolution.
Communicate payroll status to team members and approval processing milestones.
Partner with other departments as it's in relation to payroll.
Reconcile payroll calculations, payments and payroll reports.
Identify and update missing tax jurisdictions.
Confirm payments received on pay date, including requesting tracking information if applicable.
Ensure payroll data and payments are aligned with state and local compliance.
Respond to payroll ticket inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns
Keeps detailed and organized payroll records.
Maintain company confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Skills you should HODL
4+ years’ experience in payroll processing in a high-volume, multi-state (more than 10) payroll setting
Possess experience with major ERP and Accounting systems
Ability to thrive in a fast paced team environment
Experience processing payroll for multiple pay periods, including complex transactions for salaried and wage employees
Understand US Payroll Compliance Laws
Experience with payroll taxes including setting up new jurisdictions and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Experience assisting with the development of new policies and procedures within a payroll function
Experience performing monthly and quarterly audits
Experience with the year end process including preparing and auditing W-2s
Experience with ADP Workforce Now
Proficient in Microsoft Excel – Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s - Required
Passion for providing excellent support for inquiries
Experience acting as a liaison between the payroll department and other departments
