Job Summary 

As an Assistant Director of Nursing at AmeriPharma, you will be responsible for assisting with the direction and administration of patient care for the specialty pharmacy. The incumbent will report to the National Director of Nursing.


Schedule Details 

  • Location: Remote 
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST 


    Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Direct patient care as needed.
    • Start of care calls
    • Post infusion surveys
    •  Teach and Train for medication self-injection.
    • Review and approve nursing notes and invoices.
    • Report any infusion issues, side effects, missed doses to a Pharmacist to discuss with the MD.
    • Available for emergency after-hours calls.
    • Prepare medication for patient appointments.
    •  Facilitates patient/nursing supply needs.
    •  Effectively managing staffing coordinators.
    • Travel to patient location to perform care as needed.
    •  Situations to report to the Director of Nursing:
      o Unresolved patient complaints.
      o Infusion supply issues.
      o Infusion related side effects.
      o Unsatisfactory employee performance and attendance.


    Required Qualifications 

    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Stellar communication skills.
    • Microsoft office proficiency.
    • Exercises extreme attention to detail.
    • Clerical skills.


    Education and Experience Requirements 

    • BSN Degree required 
    • Compact Nursing License required 
    • Specialty Pharmacy Experience required
    • California RN License 


    Preferred Qualifications 

    • AlayaCare, CPR+, and Citrus Health experience preferred
