Payroll Supervisor
Canada -Remote
12 Months Contract
Purpose of Role:
The main responsibility of this position is to oversee and manage payroll functions essential for processing weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, hourly, and salaried payrolls across various divisions and legal entities. This role demands proficiency in payroll processing with ADP Workforce Now and Workday, encompassing a range of tasks from routine to more complex duties.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Payroll Expertise: Process routine complex and non-complex semi monthly and biweekly payroll runs for employees across multiple divisions and legal entities. Collects, organizes, and enters pay data into payroll systems, review variances and exception audits to ensure an accurate payroll including reconciling hours and other earnings and adjustments. Manage year-end payroll by accurately calculating and reporting total earnings, including bonuses and taxable benefits, while preparing and distributing T4 slips to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analysis, Reconciliation & Reporting: Performs payroll processes and global reconciliation of wages for inpatriate and expatriate employees. Responsible for entry of, analysis, deduction processing, and payment of deductions to appropriate agencies as applicable. Analyzes, calculates and processes taxable fringe benefits such as use of company vehicles, employee stock programs, relocation, etc. Responsible for Quarterly and Annual standard work such as tax analysis, filing, and remittance.
- Commitment to Quality: Identifies key issues and patterns from partial and conflicting data. Takes broad perspective to problems and finds new/less obvious solutions. Ensures work activities are consistent and running efficiently, discover inconsistencies, document, and communicate the need for changes.

Education and Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: 6+ years of payroll experience
- Consistent attendance with the flexibility to work mandatory overtime and holidays as required, including adjusting schedules to coordinate with team members.
- PCP certification or PCL is required.
- Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing is essential.
- Preferred: Familiarity with KRONOS, Workday, and other ADP products.
- Remote employees must participate in virtual meetings, ensuring reliable internet access and maintaining a confidential, distraction-free workspace with regular video interactions.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook, with experience in using PivotTables and VLOOKUP. Experience in processing payroll across all provinces in Canada, especially Quebec, is required.
