Job description

Clovr Labs is looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Security Engineer.

👋 About us

We are a boutique consulting company specialising in the fields of cybersecurity, bitcoin and lean product development.

We strive to find simple, elegant solutions to difficult problems and are passionate about making things happen one iteration at a time.

We are focused on both in-house product development and security solutions for clients.

We are a small but strong team of 25 people and we continue to grow.

🎯 Our mission

We are building many projects in various tech topics including Bitcoin and the Lightning Network as a platform for lightning fast and virtually free payments.

One of our main products is ElenPAY, an enterprise payment service provider built on the Lightning Network.

🧩 Your mission in the team

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile professional for the role of Security Engineer.

This person will play a crucial role in protecting our systems and those of our customers.

🎬 What you'll be doing
  • Review code for security vulnerabilities and compliance with best practices.
  • Implement and maintain security controls for our systems and products.
  • Manage the vulnerability lifecycle, including identification, prioritisation and remediation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure compliance with security requirements (e.g. audit logging, two-factor authentication).
  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan for Clovr Labs and our customers.
  • Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication and recovery.
  • Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) software for effective incident detection and response.

⭐️ What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security engineering or a related role.
  • Good communication skills in Spanish and English are a must.
  • Experience with security code review methodologies, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
  • Experience working with incident response processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with SIEM software and security logging.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work autonomously, as much as we are connected and collaborate, you will also need to take the initiative to solve problems and get answers independently; this also means proactively contacting us for help or to find a solution.

🛟 Nice to have
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF) and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Python programming.
  • Familiarity with BlockChain (Bitcoin and Ethereum).
  • Lightning Network knowledge.

🔍 Why work at Clovr Labs?
  • Fully remote working within Spain, independence, ownership and flexibility is what you can expect from our mentality.
  • You have a voice and can influence the evolution of our company.
  • Fair salary for people with attitude above all else [50k - 70k].
  • Evolve in a stimulating and challenging environment.
  • Share and learn with a passionate and diverse team.
  • Work from home budget, choose what you need to create your dream home office, including internet and electricity.
  • Annual learning budget, learn a new programming language or attend a tech conference, if it's important to your career, it's important to us.
  • Fully paid team building activities three or four times a year, somewhere in the world.
  • We lead with respect, kindness and the right to fail. We value hard but smart work. Diversity and inclusion are part of our DNA. As we grow and evolve, we welcome your input to help us better define our culture.

If you are a passionate security professional eager to make a difference, we encourage you to apply!
