Job Title: Senior Security Engineer
Job Type: Full-time

The Senior Security Engineer will collaborate with our Senior Manager of IT and use your communication, helpdesk, hardware, and software skills to build the best possible solutions to help Snapsheet continue its rapid growth today and in the future
 

Responsibilities as the Senior Security Engineer: 
  • Be the primary point of contact for security issues related to cloud, on-premise infrastructure, or endpoint security.
  • Managing third-party vulnerability and pen-testing activities
  • Providing guidance on best practices from a security perspective for any and all company initiatives
  • Validation of potential security vulnerabilities(using tools such as but not limited to Burp Suite)
  • Assist in System Engineering projects and initiatives
  • Handle IAM updates for privileged access requests
  • Maintain and update endpoint AV policies and remediate issues as reported.
  • Experience participating in ISO, SOC, and third-party audits
  • Be a part of an on-call rotation (every 2 weeks) 

Qualifications we are looking for: 
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Engineering, or related STEM degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a security role managing enterprise information systems
  • Experience with Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Bash, PHP, Python, and Powershell (Ruby experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical aptitude for problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and organize and complete work based on priority
  • Interested in learning from other professionals and growing their skills
  • Experience with SOC and ISO compliance principles a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt 

What Will Make You Stand Out as a Senior Security Engineering Applicant 
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling, vulnerability remediation, and general GRC  knowledge.
  • Overarching essential ability to be able to understand not just the underlying components but how they fit together to create the system as a whole
  • Strong time management skills and can effectively prioritize tasks 
  • Proven examples of your ability to project confidence and helpfulness to colleagues and/or external clients
  • Experience with Infrastructure monitoring and development tools such as Rollbar, Cloudwatch, and New Relic
