ABOUT THE ROLE
We are on the lookout for a hands-on M&A Technology Integration Lead to provide expert guidance in Engineering IT, Cloud, Application, and Security aspects for HUB’s integration of acquired entities. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with senior executives, corporate development teams, acquired company representatives, and internal cross-functional IT teams. Your responsibilities encompass evaluating potential target companies, crafting technology integration strategies, and supporting Integration leaders in solution definition, planning, and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Hub's IT organization to devise the integration roadmap for technology migration and implementation.
- Perform comprehensive analysis of the existing IT landscape, pinpointing areas for enhancement, modernization, and optimization, and propose architectural solutions to tackle business challenges.
- Lead and mentor a team of architects, providing technical leadership, coaching, and expertise to drive architectural excellence and foster innovation within the IT organization.
- Assess emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, evaluating their potential value and impact on the insurance company's IT infrastructure, and recommend strategic investments.
- Drive architectural governance processes, ensuring adherence to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, and oversee the implementation of architectural standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and cybersecurity specialists, to design and deliver complex enterprise-level solutions.
- Offer strategic guidance and consultation to project teams, advising on architectural design, technology selection, integration approaches, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Participate in solution planning, definition, and high-level design, exploring alternatives for Integration activities.
- Define subsystems, allocate responsibilities, and ensure seamless solution deployment and interaction.
- Support technology/engineering aspects of programs and solutions, including IT Due Diligence and defining non-negotiables.
- Assist in conducting IT due diligence on growth opportunities, identifying technology risks and opportunities.
- Develop IT integration models and conceptual understandings based on deal structures and integration hypotheses.
- Lead IT integration planning and execution, identifying gaps, risks, and challenges.
- Manage day-to-day execution of the IT integration process, including issue resolution and stakeholder communications.
- Contribute to enhancing IT integration best practices and playbook, sharing learnings and process improvements.
- Lead the IT integration steering committee and governance process, ensuring alignment with M&A objectives.
Required Experience:
- Knowledge of rapidly scaling technology/software businesses, particularly in the Insurance sector.
- Expertise in on-premises and Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), IT infrastructure, and IT security (OKTA).
- Familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI security standards, GLBA, NIST cybersecurity standards, and data center environments.
- Experience in network integration for M&As and general management or functional leadership roles.
- Results-oriented with a process-centric mindset, focused on continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in project management, business analysis, and end-to-end corporate development activities.
- Experience with MuleSoft integration platform and Microsoft technologies.
- Experience with other integration platforms and databases.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or commensurate experience.
- 10+ years of progressive information technology experience, ideally in architecture, design, development, and M&A integrations.
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture or Enterprise IT Strategy or a related field.
- Experience in one of the Architecture domains of Technology, Application, Data, or Insurance Business.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio C#, Azure, Oracle, GitHub, MuleSoft, Okta, and other modern tool stacks.
- Any insurance-related software tools and technology experience is a plus.

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $150K to $175K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
