The IT Manager will lead our Corporate IT team, administration of our IT infrastructure and applications and supporting our internal colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • IT Operations & Support: Oversee and resolve all help desk tickets, ensuring that our staff has reliable access to hardware, software, and IT support. When necessary, personally handle tickets, especially for high-priority or executive issues. Implement automation whenever possible.
  • Application Support: Manage and provide support for all internal applications used by our colleagues, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting any issues that arise. 
  • User Provisioning: Handle onboarding and offboarding processes for users, including employees, consultants, and contractors, ensuring timely access management across all systems and applications. 
  • Executive Support: Provide direct technical assistance to executive team members to ensure seamless operation and address any technology challenges promptly. Train team members so they can also assist executives. 
  • Cloud Environment Management: Administration of our M365 and Entra ID environments, ensuring smooth, secure operation across devices and applications. 
  • Hardware Management: Be the subject matter expert in managing hardware assets, including local office infrastructure (wireless networking, firewall and network equipment) card access systems, and Apple and Windows laptops and peripherals. Also own all provisioning and deprovisioning of hardware during the onboarding/offboarding process.
  • Vendor & Partner Relationships: Work closely with our vendors and partners to maintain high service standards and negotiate beneficial contracts. 
  • Team Leadership: Manage a multi-region IT team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Lead by example in a hands-on capacity, helping to mentor and develop team members. Create reporting and metrics to help continuously improve our IT services.
  • Budget Management: Plan, monitor, and control the IT budget, identifying areas for cost optimization and investment in new technologies.  Consolidate like products or services to simplify the environment. 
  • Audit and Compliance: Respond to audit inquiries, ensuring that all IT operations align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. 
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including FAQs, knowledge base (KB) articles, and IT process documents, to support consistent service delivery and knowledge sharing within the IT team. 
  • Process Improvement: Continuously look for ways to improve IT processes, including ticketing, provisioning, and support. 

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably within a startup or SaaS environment. 
  • Technical Expertise: Proven knowledge of M365, Entra ID, Apple, and Windows 10/11 laptops, as well as SaaS-based software administration and support. 
  • Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a hands-on approach to issue resolution. 
  • Documentation Skills: Strong commitment to maintaining clear, comprehensive documentation of IT processes, FAQs, and knowledge base resources. 
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization. 
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a small team, foster teamwork, and encourage personal and professional growth. 
  • Budget Management: Experience managing an IT budget, with an eye for cost efficiency. 
  • Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare industry requirements, especially in HIPAA, HIPAA or other regulated environments, is a plus.
