Overview:

Staffing Pros, a division of VETS Inc., is recruiting for a full-time System Virtualization Engineer in Quantico, VA. An Active Top Secret Clearance is required for this role.

Responsibilities:

Our client is seeking an SSA/Virtualization Specialist to lead and manage virtualization projects, ensuring full operational support for mission-critical environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and validation of network components, as well as providing technical leadership and troubleshooting for virtualized systems. This role requires in-depth knowledge of multiple IT systems and virtualization platforms, as well as the ability to deliver solutions tailored to specific user groups and access controls.

Responsibilities:

Plan and lead virtualization projects, including the installation and configuration of network components.
Provide detailed product and service delineation to support mission operations.
Conduct regular, special, and integrated system tests on virtualization equipment.
Prepare and present actionable reports and special presentations.
Conduct integrated equipment system tests.
Provide on-the-job training for customers and junior personnel as required.
Coordinate with other field engineers to ensure customer satisfaction.
Perform additional duties within the scope of work as assigned.

Qualifications:

Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required. (willing to sit for a CI Polygraph)
Four-year degree in system administration, information technology, computer science, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in designing, managing, administering, documenting, troubleshooting, and supporting multiple heterogeneous computer networks.
OR
Ten (10) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Proficiency in installing and configuring:
Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
Citrix ADC (Netscaler)
Microsoft Failover Cluster (current version)
Microsoft Hyper-V Manager (current version)
Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
Expertise in hypervisors, virtualization sub-systems, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
Experience with scripting languages, primarily PowerShell, for IT system automation.
Advanced troubleshooting capabilities, particularly for mid-problem escalations.
Knowledge of designing and implementing cloud-based remote access solutions.
Experience utilizing Active Directory (AD) groups for resource access control.

Nice to Have's:

Familiarity with container systems and additional Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
