The Accounting team is seeking candidates with accounting and payroll experience combined with the ability to succeed and grow, particularly in an entrepreneurial, hands-on, high growth and fast paced environment. This role will provide support to our Payroll and Accounting processes as well support other Payroll, Finance, and Accounting functions across Fullsteam.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile payroll cash fundings on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

  • Manage general ledger accounts using our ERP Accounting system.

  • Record cash transactions related to payroll, human resources, and benefit payments, maintaining accurate coding of expenses.

  • Prepare and record payroll and benefit-related accruals, including payroll, paid time off, sales commissions, bonuses, and management incentive plans.

  • Reconcile all payroll and benefit-related accounts, investigating and clearing reconciling items promptly.

  • Act as backup support for payroll processing to ensure completion of the bi-weekly payroll cycle and maintain payroll continuity.

  • Conduct payroll reviews, audits, and reconciliations to verify data accuracy and compliance.

  • Generate payroll reports and assist with payroll-related reconciliations.

  • Support the Human Resources team with accounting-related activities and collaborate closely on payroll issues.

  • Assist with initiatives and projects that enhance accounting efficiencies and streamline processes.

  • Provide support during the year-end audit, including preparing required documentation and reconciliations.

  • Work with portfolio companies and finance business partners to facilitate consistent, accurate financial practices.

  • Engage in special projects and cross-functional efforts within accounting and finance to support organizational growth.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to reconcile accounts in detail and follow-up on open items.

  • Advanced Microsoft Skills required. Expertise in Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.

  • Strong analytical abilities, particularly in reconciliation, auditing, and investigating discrepancies. Ability to analyze complex data and provide clear insights for decision-making.

  • Exceptional accuracy in financial recording and reporting, ensuring all payroll-related transactions are documented correctly and all accounts reconciled.

  • Ability to clearly communicate accounting and payroll processes to team members and external partners. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

  • Proven ability to focus on details and stay organized while managing multiple priorities.

  • Strong collaboration partner with team members and external partners.

  • Process focus that can solve problems and look for more efficient ways to complete tasks.

  • Independent worker that can complete assignments with tight deadlines.

  • Comfortable with a high level of change in their work as the company grows and evolves.

Primary Qualifications:

  • Accounting or Finance degree or comparable experience required.

  • 1-2 years of work experience in corporate accounting.

  • Corporate month-end close process experience.

  • Comfortable with a high level of change in their work as the company grows and evolves.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Payroll accounting experience preferred.

  • NetSuite and Workday Payroll experience preferred.

  • Experience in financial technology or payments industry.
