Job Description:

We are currently searching for a talented and driven individual to join our Global Reinsurance team within our MBPS Actuarial Function. Global Reinsurance supports Asia, Canada, and the U.S., from mail indexing to disbursements back-office transactions. 

 

MBPS is officially registered as Manulife Data Services, Inc. but with an official trade name of Manulife Business Processing Services. MBPS is a Global Shared Service Centre providing Administrative Services, Professional Services, Finance, Investments, Contact Center, Claims, New Business and Underwriting, Actuarial, Legal & Compliance, and Digital Information Services to Manulife Companies around the world. MBPS is headquartered in Quezon City, Philippines. MBPS has approximately 6,000+ employees across Manila, Cebu, and Chengdu (China). 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle policy maintenance related to policy changes, death claim reimbursement, billing, email inquiries, and treaty block ownership.  

  • Work on reinsured policies with complex administrative issues. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree graduate

  • At least 3 years in the current role as a Business Process Senior Analyst.  

  • Amenability to work on hybrid work set up of 3x a week onsite and 2x a work from home on a night shift work schedule.

  • Meets productivity and accuracy targets in the last 6 months. 

  • Above average skills in email/letter business writing. 

  • Adept in communicating via virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet. 

  • Above-average communication skills, written and verbal 

  • Above-average organizational or prioritization skills to be able to work in high-volume lanes 

  • Above-average level of attention to details 

  • Above-average problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills 

  • Adaptable to change 

  • A strong team player 

  • In-depth understanding of product types and plans for new business set-up and policy conversions 

  • Knowledge of how reinsurance treaty works 

  • In addition to policy maintenance and calculation of premiums or claims adjustment, the ability to handle and resolve complex issues and inquiries from reinsurers
