We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in providing financial insights and support for our Wealth Management business segments. You will work closely with senior management and various stakeholders to drive strategic decisions and ensure the financial health and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and profitability for the Wealth Management business units.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate and consolidate annual plans, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Business Support: Provide financial guidance and support to business leaders to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Expense Management: Analyze expense structures and identify opportunities for expense optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to provide insights that influence business strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Microsoft Suite).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.  You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
