Engineering Team Lead*

Overview:

Opening available for Engineering Team Lead at Cotiviti, Inc. in South Jordan, UT:

Design and develop new software products and major enhancements for existing software. Apply the appropriate agile standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle. Coordinate the activities of technical teams delivering complex solutions for a business area, as well as cross-departmental strategy and solutions. Instruct, direct, and review the work of technical team members. Conduct quality assurance reviews of IT projects. Evaluate and document team procedures against standards. Work cooperatively with other team leaders assigned to the same project. Troubleshoot and provide innovative, thorough, and practicable solutions for unusually complex problems. Contribute to the development of new and innovative solutions. Guide the successful completion of major programs through the development of advanced technological ideas. Evaluate performance objectives and the quality of applications, including data for client support systems. Contribute to the productivity of the organization through the completion of projects associated with departmental objectives. Serve as a primary point of contact with vendors and consultants engaged in supporting the work activities of the group. Communicate with management, conduct briefings, and participate in meetings with internal and external partners or collaborators. Own communication between RCA client service delivery teams and analysts. Own performance and quality of applications and data for client support systems. Ensure project deliverables are accomplished on time and within budget.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 years of software development experience. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, company will accept 3 years of postsecondary education toward a degree as stated. Also requires 5 years of experience with Java, Angular, SpringBoot, RESTful web services, MongoDB, Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Jenkins; and 3 years of experience directing the work of other software engineers. Base compensation ranges from $135,803 to $155,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
