Why We Need You

As Director - Web, Data, and Tools, you will take charge of advancing our web development initiatives, data management and visualization, and creation of proprietary tools. This role demands both leadership and a hands-on approach, ensuring that you are directly involved in enhancing our infrastructure and tools, which are vital to our marketing strategies and client services.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and execute the development of client websites, ensuring technical designs meet cutting-edge standards.
  • Spearhead and conduct data analysis projects, creating and maintaining data reporting dashboards, to enhance real-time insights for decision-making.
  • Directly and personally engage in the design and deployment of proprietary tools, elevating our technological capabilities and client offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Global Strategist and Head of Product, driving the alignment of engineering efforts with our project strategy and roadmap. 
  • Oversee and personally manage the integrity, security, and accessibility of data within our data lakes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate web and data strategies into marketing campaigns.
  • Research and implement relevant emerging technologies, preparing the agency for future innovations.
  • Work closely with other agency solutions, such as Paid Media, Creative, and Client Solutions, to ensure the technology we use and develop aligns with business goals.

 

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience in web development, data management, and tool management.
  • Proven experience in leading web development projects and data initiatives to successful completion.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a small team
  • Technical proficiency in web technologies (including SEO), data lakes, and tool development
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to readily convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, SQL, AWS, Azure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; this role will be dealing with complex data challenges and tool implementations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable working within a project management platform (we use Wrike). 
  • Experience with AI and machine learning applications in technology management.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as Web3 and blockchain.
  • Background in both direct-to-consumer (D2C) and business-to-business (B2B) environments.
