The Marketing Strategy Analyst will be responsible for conducting competitive intelligence and market analysis to support GovOS's growth in the public sector. The role requires extensive research, competitor analysis, and the management of strategic initiatives for the GovOS state team, which engages with state-specific agencies and departments. The Analyst will provide key insights into market trends, perform pricing analysis, generate reports to inform decision-making, and support the development of responses to large state RFPs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Competitive Intelligence:
- Conduct analysis of FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests and competitor contracts.
- Create battle cards and detailed market comparison reports highlighting GovOS’s strengths and competitive positioning.
- Conduct win/loss interviews to inform strategic approaches for upcoming RFPs.
- Research and monitor public sector market trends, legislation, and competitive dynamics to provide insights.
Data & Market Analysis:
- Provide FOIA contract pricing analysis to support sales efforts.
- Assist in conducting Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) analysis at both local and state levels.
- Create State Level TAM (Total Addressable Market) market assessments in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Develop ICP and TAM models for state markets.
Marketing & Sales Support:
- Assist in creating state-level pitch decks and messaging to align with sales and marketing objectives.
Project Management:
- Manage research projects with state departments, agencies, and key personnel
- Work with internal teams to create, survey overviews, and organize survey results.
- Collaborate with state teams to organize and present DOR (Departments of Revenue) listening tour information.
Legislative Tracking:
- Assist in tracking relevant legislation that may impact public sector market strategies.
- Analyze multiple data sources to gain insights into the strengths and weaknesses of competitors and prepare detailed reports.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the public sector or technology space.
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau, with the ability to manage and update data dashboards.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and experience in working with RFPs is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Product, and Marketing).
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with a strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000 – 90,000 annual base + annual performance bonus
