Job description

Spacelift is an infrastructure orchestration platform that manages your entire infrastructure lifecycle — provisioning, configuration and governance. Spacelift integrates with all your infrastructure tooling (e.g. Terraform, OpenTofu, CloudFormation, Pulumi, Ansible) to provide a single integrated workflow so you can deliver secure, cost-effective, and resilient infrastructure, fast.

By automating deployment and configuration, providing developer self-service, golden paths with guardrails, and an OPA policy engine, Spacelift empowers businesses to accelerate developer velocity while maintaining control and governance over their infrastructure. Spacelift offers unrivaled support, no-nonsense pricing, and a range of deployment models to fit your specific needs.

Spacelift was founded in 2020 by long-time DevOps practitioner Marcin Wyszynski and successful entrepreneur Pawel Hytry and has raised $31.3M in funding over three rounds from top venture capital firms, including Insight Partners, Blossom Capital, Hoxton Ventures, and Inovo Venture partners.

At Spacelift, we are building a vibrant ecosystem of partners, and we're looking for an experienced AWS Alliance Lead to help us forge, grow, and manage our relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud technology and business development, leveraging your deep expertise in AWS and partner ecosystems to drive mutual success.

About the Role

As the AWS Alliance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the strategy to build a world-class partnership between Spacelift and AWS. You will drive business growth through joint go-to-market initiatives, co-selling, co-marketing, and leveraging AWS’s partner programs. You’ll work closely with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to ensure that Spacelift’s solutions are effectively positioned and integrated with AWS offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnership Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive AWS alliance strategy to maximize Spacelift’s visibility, business growth, and integration opportunities within the AWS ecosystem.

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with AWS customers, working closely with Spacelift’s sales and customer success teams to build a strong sales pipeline.

  • Co-Sell & Co-Market: Lead joint sales efforts with AWS, co-develop go-to-market campaigns, create AWS-focused sales collateral, and execute joint customer engagements to generate revenue and customer success stories.

  • Relationship Management: Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with AWS leadership, partner teams, and technical resources. Advocate for Spacelift within AWS and work with AWS field teams to expand Spacelift’s presence and influence.

  • Partner Enablement: Collaborate with internal teams to develop training programs, technical resources, and partner enablement tools to help AWS teams understand and sell Spacelift’s value proposition.

  • AWS Certifications & Programs: Drive participation in relevant AWS programs (e.g., AWS Competencies, AWS Marketplace, AWS Partner Network [APN]), and ensure Spacelift achieves and maintains the appropriate certifications and recognitions.

  • Market Insights & Reporting: Monitor AWS trends, identify new opportunities for joint innovation, and report on the performance of the partnership to senior leadership.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and a seamless experience for AWS joint customers.

About You

  • 2+ years of experience in channel/partner management, business development, or alliances, with a strong focus on AWS. Prior experience with an AWS ISV or tech partnership is highly desirable. Startup experience preferred, and Eastcoast location will be prioritized.

  • Deep knowledge of AWS products, services, and ecosystems, including AWS Partner Network (APN), AWS Marketplace, and AWS Partner programs.

  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling successful AWS alliances and driving joint business development efforts.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to develop and execute long-term strategies while handling day-to-day tactical execution. Strong ability to work with ambiguity

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code concepts, particularly as they relate to AWS and Spacelift’s offerings.

  • A focus on results and metrics, with experience managing revenue goals, KPIs, and delivering successful partnerships.

Why Spacelift?

  • Innovative Culture: Join a team shaping cloud infrastructure management’s future.

  • Growth Opportunities: Be a key player in driving Spacelift’s business and AWS partnership to new heights.

  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible work environment, with remote-first options and competitive compensation packages.

  • Collaborative Team: Work with passionate, talented people committed to driving success for our customers and partners.
