Job Title: Systems Engineer (Server Patching and Vulnerability remediation)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Patching Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and upgrading Windows Server environments, managing vulnerabilities, and ensuring the security and reliability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the organization's Windows Server footprint, both on-premise and in the cloud, to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
• Develop, implement, and manage patch management processes for Windows servers to ensure timely application of security patches and updates.
• Validate and troubleshoot configuration baselines.
• Implement and manage vulnerability management processes using Qualys, ensuring all identified vulnerabilities are remediated promptly.
• Utilize PowerBI to create reports and dashboards for monitoring and analyzing patch management and vulnerability data.
• Monitor and report on patch compliance and vulnerability remediation status, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot SCCM agent-related issues and ensure the successful deployment of patches.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless operation and support across our infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, recommending improvements where necessary.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as necessary.
• Be available for weekend work as required to ensure the timely deployment of patches and resolution of critical issues.

Mandatory Skills:

• Extensive experience with Microsoft SCCM Platform.
• Strong knowledge of patch management processes and best practices.
• Proficiency in using Qualys for vulnerability management.
• Experience with PowerShell Development.
• Proficiency in PowerBI for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly with SCCM agent-related issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based resources in AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of other endpoint management tools like IBM BigFix, Tanium, Qualys, etc.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
• Experience with VMware platforms.
• Experience patching Linux would be a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Relevant certifications in SCCM, Qualys, PowerShell, or related technologies are a plus.
