OUR LOCATION
Ingenium Aerospace is located in Rockford, Illinois, an hour west of Chicago. The Rockford region provides a great quality of life and is an attractive regional center for people to live, work, and play. With a population of over 150,000, Rockford is large enough to provide all the services, shopping, and dining options for daily life. It is a great place for singles, young couples, and those later in life as it provides many local recreational and cultural experiences, while also only a short drive from the amenities and options of Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee. The Rockford region is also one of the most affordable housing markets in the U.S. per The Wall Street Journal, with a growing healthcare, aerospace, and logistics industries.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
In general, this position is highly energetic requiring significant multi-tasking and exceptional communication skills across all aspects of the business. The inventory, shipping & receiving clerk will be responsible for working with suppliers, operations, quality, and technical staff to formulate and execute specific plans and strategies and understanding the implications of those strategies and function as a key member within the operation’s team and be willing to support other areas as needed. They will need to embrace learning and grow with the organization as well as be able to absorb high level tasks, and create, formulate, and execute specific plans and strategies to complete the assignments. Some of the possible support functions in the areas of shipping and receiving, inventory, and ERP include:
- Help maintain and develop current and future shipping and receiving areas.
- Maintaining the loading dock area.
- Knowledge or willing to learn packaging standards, crating, shipping, and receiving paperwork and understand how shipped or received items are handled.
- Have computer skills to be able to interact with our ERP system.
- Read packaging specifications and custom customer flow down requirements and match manufacturing methods.
- Work with the quality department to ensure all parts have been inspected and received per company established guidelines.
- Assist, when needed, to ensure vendor paperwork and other requirements are received timely and meet necessary compliance metrics.
- Assist in maintaining the inventory area, including but not limited to picking and kitting parts needed for the assembly.
- Shelving received items to their specific locations.
- Adding or subtracting the inventory line of balance in our ERP system and complete inventory cycle counting.
- Participating in physical inventory counts and facilities when needed.
- Assist in the responsibility for the aspects of ERP regarding shipping, receiving and inventory.
- Work with operations associates to prioritize inventory, shipping and receiving tasks.
- All other duties assigned by supervisor.
OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Interest in learning incoming quality inspection.
- Expediting and shuttling parts.
- Drive initiatives to completion on time and within budget.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer skills
- Specifically, applicable experience of 2 years or more
- Success in or aptitude for shipping, receiving, inventory and/or other operations roles
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and attention to detail
- Ability to overcome challenges and drive projects to completion
- Must be able to pass a drug & alcohol screening
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with UPS and FEDEX shipping requirements
- Quantum Control is a plus (ERP Software)
- Understanding of bar coding and scanning
- Ability to understand ITAR principles & procedures
- Understanding of SolidWorks Enterprise (PDM)
- Understanding of AS9100 principles and procedures
- Knowledge and experience in inventory management techniques and strategies for a high mix low volume environment is a plus.

- The office environment is considered normal. Temperature and noise levels in the plant may require use of personal protective equipment

- An associate must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
