Job description

Who's Clearcover?

Clearcover is the smarter car insurance company. We use powerful technology to offer everyday drivers better coverage for less money. We’re proud to be one of the fastest growing startups in Chicago, and we’re currently looking to add a few more extraordinary people to our

team.

What is a Product Marketing Manager?

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working in multiple distribution channels, and bring experience building training, communication, and go-to-market strategies, while also being able to tailor content and presentations to meet the needs of different audiences. You’ll be tech-forward and be able to effectively communicate how our tech products work and the ins and outs of our auto insurance offering.

You should be highly motivated, goal-oriented, and have the ability to manage details across various projects. You should also be a natural problem-solver who can work amidst ambiguity and be willing (and able) to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. This will be fun, but it won’t be easy.

What will you work on?

  • Agency Development – Serve as the primary point-of-contact for best practices (i.e. agency guide and knowledge base materials) to optimize partner performance and profitability.
  • Training Strategy – Lead the development and ongoing management of partner training and support needs. Collaborate with Brand, Product, and Customer Advocacy teams to develop content and supporting media assets that meet the needs of multiple agency types.
  • Strategic content creation - Responsible for creating comprehensive partner-facing educational and promotional materials with a goal of attracting, retaining and growing partnerships across all of Clearcover’s partner channels (IA, NA, Partner)
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Growth Distribution, Insurance Product, Technology, Legal & Compliance, CX and PR to initiate and manage content creation that accurately promotes and educates partners on Clearcover’s product offering while aligning with our brand
  • Management of communication platform: manage distribution lists, create automations and efficiencies in the communication distribution process
  • Competitive Intelligence – Gather and provide competitive intelligence to better understand competition and emerging trends.

What are our must haves?

  • You’re hands-on and a self-starter. You have the ability to lead and drive initiatives with little oversight – the persistency and tenacity to break down barriers while also bringing people together towards a common goal.
  • You’re fluent working across various insurance distribution channels. You’re licensed in property & casualty insurance and have experience working with various agency types.
  • You’re highly cross-functional. You know how to simplify operational processes and work across multiple functional areas to address issues head-on.
  • You have great relationship skills. You’re able to build effective relationships, both internally and externally, and can navigate complex relationships.
  • You’re a great communicator. You’re able to effectively communicate the features and key value propositions of our product.
  • You understand insurance compliance. You’re fluent with agency licensing and appointment regulations and supporting operational processes.
  • You’re flexible. You have the ability to work amidst ambiguity and adapt as we grow and expand.
  • You have a growth mindset. You’re driven to improve performance through continued learning.

But wait, there’s more:

As a people-first company, your health and well-being is a priority at Clearcover. We offer comprehensive benefits for individuals and families:

  • Medical. We offer rich and affordable BCBS plans for you and your dependents. If you select the high deductible health plan, we offer an HRA and contribute to your HSA.
  • Dental and vision. We cover 100% of dental and vision premiums for you and your dependents.
  • Pre-tax benefits, disability, and life insurance.
  • 401(k). We contribute 3%, even if you contribute nothing.

We’ve also curated a stack of perks and benefits that stretch beyond the expected. Our people have access to:

  • Generous vacation, 12 paid holidays, and parental leave.
  • Equity in the company (plus an evergreen plan) and an annual bonus program.
  • Employee resource groups and mental health workshops.
  • Top of the line hardware and meeting free “Focus Fridays”.

We’re a remote first company, having paved the way for flexible work locations and continue to offer this flexibility. If you are local or in town visiting, you also have the choice to work from our Chicago HQ office.

To top it all off, if Clearcover is available in your state, you could have access to an employee discount on auto-insurance! Excited to learn more? Complete the application below!
