Job Purpose Summary
The Finance Manager provides financial leadership and partners with the plant management team to improve profitability, drive operational improvements and give insights to production costs. In addition to helping improve operational performance, the role will be responsible for forecasting results, reporting actuals, variance analysis, financial controls, and payroll along with selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function. The position is part of the plant leadership team and will report to the Finance Director EMEA and be part of the global finance controller network.
What You Will Do
Leverage partnership and business acumen to drive improvement of financial and operational performance including material spend, conversion spend and operational KPIs.
Ensure strong internal control environment is maintained and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures. Create new efficient processes where needed.
Provide primary financial analysis for the site.
Prepare required financial analysis to support and guide business decision making, including understanding the effectiveness of productivity programs and calculating and analyzing variances.
Evaluate and recommend capital investments.
Ownership of the month end close process for the site.
Preparation and review of monthly analysis and reporting package to ensure accurate and timely submission to local management and headquarters. Explaining manufacturing differences in a concise and brief way.
Cooperation with the accounting team based in Poland on statutory, tax reporting and going through group and statutory audits,
Ensure timely production of statutory, numerical and financial returns
Preparation of financial budgets and forecasts for the business. Plan and prepare financial reports as required in controlling the business.
Approval and evaluation of labor staff plans and maintaining monitoring systems and related controls.
Manage Finance team members through delegation, team goals and function alignment, team member accountability and developmental training.
Work with other Plant Controllers across the global network of sites to share best practice in order to work as effectively and efficiently as possible .
Ensure all company policies are followed.
Be an efficient, key member of the management team. Performing any duties required of a management team member.
Manage two direct subordinates: an operations controller and payroll specialist plus cooperate with the accounting team in Poland
What you will need
University degree in the field of accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility in a manufacturing environment).
At least 3 years as a manufacturing site controller or head of finance in the manufacturing entity is a must;
Experience in product costing;
Experience in IT projects aimed at the migration of data between the ERP would be an additional advantage
Experience in the SAP product costing module
Experience in D365 product costing module will be an advantage
US GAAP knowledge is an advantage
Experience in managing payroll in factory would be an advantage.
