Overview:

Now is the time to join us!

We’re Personify Health. We’re the first and only personalized health platform company to bring health, wellbeing, and navigation solutions together. Helping businesses optimize investments in their members while empowering people to meaningfully engage with their health. At Personify Health, we believe in offering total rewards, flexible opportunities, and a diverse inclusive community, where every voice matters. Together, we’re shaping a healthier, more engaged future.

Responsibilities:

Who are you?

Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) cover the intersection of Software Engineer and Systems Administrator. In other words, they can both create code and manage the infrastructure on which the code runs. This is a very wide skillset, but the goal of SRE is always the same: to ensure that all SLAs are met, but not necessarily exceeded, so as to balance performance and reliability with operational costs.

As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be delivering well-designed, resilient, and sustainable solutions that improve the overall reliability of the VP platform.

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:

  • Execute with urgency on defined work to achieve team-level goals, working primarily within the scope of my team with high level guidance from manager or lead SRE.
  • Independently define the right solutions or use existing approaches to solve defined problems. Deliver high-quality work.
  • Mentor new hires, interns, or more junior engineers. Offer honest feedback that is delivered with empathy to help others learn and grow.
  • Effectively participate in the core processes of the team, including recommending and implementing process improvements.
  • Model integrity and a high standard of excellence in work completed.
  • Consistently deliver and improve high-quality systems and code in service of increasing the reliability of the platform. Develop skills in designing system components and translating reliability, sustainability, and efficiency requirements into simple projects.

You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Qualifications:

What you bring to the Personify Health team:

In order to represent the best of what we have to offer you come to us with a multitude of positive attributes including:

  • Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced (college) education combined with experience.
  • University Degree desired with 2-4 years relevant experience.
  • Understanding of cloud architectures - able to quickly debug system issues and identify system bottlenecks.
  • Able to understand and improve the system’s health such as utilization and performance
  • Solid understanding of the Four Golden Signals and how they relate to systems reliability.
  • Can navigate through a full stack application (client/load-balancer/frontend/backend/DB) with proficiency on the right tools to dig into the system issues at different levels.
  • Pragmatic understanding of software limitations and how to identify reliability risks.
  • Able to read and navigate through a large code base and effectively debug others’ code.
  • Work well in a collaborative team environment, sometimes taking lead on sprint-level initiatives.

No candidate will meet every single desired qualification. If your experience looks a little different from what we’ve identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we’d love to learn more about you!
