Description
The Vice President of Offensive Security Services & Research plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's strategic direction. This executive leadership position involves collaborating with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and implement long-term business strategies that drive growth, enhance competitive advantage, and ensure alignment with the organization's mission and vision.
What You'll Do
- Set and execute strategy for our security services, security delivery, community, and research teams.
- Own and drive the standard of quality of our services. Regularly review/revise the guidelines and execution methodologies for our services to continue offering high-quality results.
- Engage the Cobalt Core, ensuring that we recruit and retain the best security testers for our community.
- Work with product management and finance to price offerings and meet internal margin targets.
- Work with product management to continuously innovate and execute our product strategy, particularly using automation and AI to improve our offerings.
- Represent Cobalt at industry conferences and customer events.
You Have
- Deep technical domain knowledge in offensive security
- 7 + years experience delivering offensive security services, such as penetration testing, red teaming, and vulnerability assessments
- Experience managing and developing high performing teams
- Experience launching and growing a cybersecurity product or service and managing the P&L
- Ability to create business cases for investment decisions and work cross functionally to prioritize investments and launch new products
- Dynamic public speaker with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with open source software, threat detection, and test content generation

- Experience working with AI and ML tools to improve security offerings

Pay Disclosure
Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is ($200,000 - $300,000) per year + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The salary range may differ in other states and be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
