Job description

LOCATION: This role is based out of our Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY office. We have a hybrid remote/in-office model and are in office 3 days a week.

Swayable is a fast-growing, cloud analytics product that measures public opinion and the impact of messages and advertising content on it. It is a 30-person team backed by top technology and social impact investors, including Y Combinator. Founded in 2018 by physics PhDs, it is led by the former Executive Director for Digital Strategy at the New York Times. Clients include major consumer-facing brands (Amazon, Airbnb, Square, Paramount Pictures), technology companies (Meta, Google), researchers (MIT, Yale, Stanford) and mission-aligned advocacy campaigns (including multiple Democratic Presidential candidates).

ROLE: The Culture & Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring a vibrant and efficient workplace. You will be the go-to person for NYC office management, a key support for the CEO, and an advocate for our company culture. This position combines various responsibilities that are essential to our team's success and cohesion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • NYC Office Management
    • Oversee onboarding processes for new employees
    • Manage vendor relationships, including office supplies and swag
    • Curate and maintain a welcoming office environment (e.g., watering plants, setting up the space in the mornings, arranging decor for new office extensions)
  • Serve as the Executive Assistant to the CEO 
    • Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and correspondence
    • Assist with personal tasks as needed, such as hosting events and occasional errands that can be taken off his plate
  • People & Culture: Foster a positive office environment by understanding team dynamics and identifying who may need support
    • Plan and execute team-building retreats, happy hours, and company-wide events to enhance employee engagement
    • Collaborate with team members to cultivate and maintain a strong company culture that reflects our values
    • Work on Special Projects as needed: support various departments on initiatives that align with company goals and objectives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in office management, culture, and executive assistance, preferably in a startup environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for building relationships at all levels
  • Excellent organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting while managing multiple priorities
