Our client is established by two former Google employees and have been delivering insider knowledge to their customers ever since. They have been in the digital marketing industry for 7 years, specializing in web designs, SEO, email marketing, PPC/Google Ads to manage campaigns for their customers.

The company was inspired by the observation that many agencies charging companies a lot of money but only delivering diluted results with very vague information. As then Google employees, they didn’t think they were being given the service or results they should be. The owner and the business partner thought “we could do this better”. Then, they also saw the opportunity to be a specialist, as opposed to the myriad agencies out there who offer everything.

Job Overview

The Head of Paid Media will be handling a team of three and will look after a portfolio of the accounts.

The core role will be responsible in managing client relationships, running digital marketing campaigns, improving processes, managing the team, and ensuring performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop our PPC offering in line with our wider strategy.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of industry changes and explore new opportunities and suppliers
  • Proactively propose new channels and tests to clients, report on tests and promote learnings.
  • Be instrumental in generating and delivering new business and growing our PPC revenue
  • Train, mentor & manage the PPC Management Team (3 account managers).
  • Improve and manage client retention.
  • Manage your own portfolio of Google Ads Management clients.
  • Generate case studies around client successes.
  • Proactively increase visibility of company to increase our client base.
  • Maintain an overarching view of all client PPC strategies and performance.
  • Perform budget management checks across all clients.
  • Support the PPC Management Team to deliver high performing PPC campaigns
  • Develop high performing campaigns and strategies
  • Hands on execution and delivery of Google and Bing campaigns
  • Effective delegation of tasks to the PPC Team
  • Regularly perform strong data analysis and subsequent campaign optimisation
  • Ongoing campaign performance analysis
  • Deliver paid media reports, and monthly reporting decks with insights and recommendations to the Director
  • Attend and lead client calls
  • Track and deliver tasks through a project management system
  • Attend supplier meetings to grow knowledge of paid media landscape
  • Implement correct tracking across GA4 & GTM

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Head of PPC role.
  • Desire to work within a smaller, growing agency, where you’ll be a big part of the company’s success and report Directly to the owner.
  • Strong understanding of tracking and tagging
  • Google qualified
  • Proficient in Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Bing Ads, SEMrush, Solo Ads, Web design, Email Marketing and Apollo.com
  • Confident communicator and ability to build relationships
  • Be able to lead and nurture a team
  • Be able to understand and highlight the story behind KPIs
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrable ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and an appetite to succeed.
