The Manager of Credit Balance Operations is responsible for elevating provider satisfaction and driving revenue from assigned healthcare payors and providers by partnering with them to identify opportunities to improve all aspects of their revenue cycle. This role is responsible for motivating and inspiring their team to achieve desired results.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to drive achievement of revenue and growth goals as well as implementation of new strategies.
  • Identify opportunities where additional TREND services would add value 
  • Understand and support approved TREND policies related to business policies and procedures while properly communicating and ensuring acceptance by staff.
  • Maintain accountability for teams and promote employee development by establishing clear goals and performance measures that encourage employees to excel.
  • Effectively implement training and conduct regular meetings and discussions to optimize learning.
  • Coach, develop and mentor staff to achieve quality performance while continuing to develop personal management skills necessary to lead staff and handle unique challenges.
  • Ensure that regular collaboration and communication occurs within their team. Provide continuous feedback and timely, quality appraisals
  • Place the highest priority on providing quality service, continuously striving to improve the overall service TREND is providing. 
  • Establish an excellent working relationship with assigned Providers; meeting regularly to ensure customer satisfaction at all levels.
  • Ensure staff is appropriately resolving day to day problems in a timely and successful manner. 
  • Immediately escalate to Manager any situation that could adversely impact the service provided to the client. 
  • Meet Provider expectations on reporting and resolution.  
  • Implement changes in performance improvement measures and incentives. Track and report results, and revise programs to ensure all goals are met or exceeded. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, healthcare, or a related field.  Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirement.
  • 5+ years of increasing management responsibility
  • 7+ years’ work experience in Revenue Cycle – Patient Accounting
  • Ability to drive change and effectively manage communication with internal and external customers.
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Superior organization, communication, presentation, and relationship building skills.

Mental and Physical Demands
  • This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected to work in or around computers and printers.
  • The nature of the work is sedentary, and the employee will be sitting most of the time.
  • Essential physical functions of the job include typing and the repetitive motion to utilize computer software and hardware continuously throughout the day.
  • Essential mental functions of this position include concentrating on analytical tasks, reading information, and verbal/written communication to others continuously throughout the day.
