Position Summary
The Program Manager-Health Equity and Community Impact provides strategic planning, consultations, analysis and insight on diversity, cultural competency, outreach, equity and inclusion programs/ initiatives as they pertain to policy, education, staff engagement, workforce development, and organizational development/culture. The Program Manager works to cultivate and sustain relationships with internal staff & leaders, community partners, disadvantaged communities/ethnic minority groups/local tribes to address social determinants of health, identify unmet health needs/ barriers to care for purposes of increasing community awareness, increasing access to services, and improve health outcomes. The incumbent manages health equity programming at MHS, provides cultural competency education and resources to staff, in addition to leading the MHS Cultural Diversity Council & Health Equity Community Advisory Board. The Program Manager also develops and implements community health projects/events that address health disparities. The Program Manager oversees the Community Health Worker.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relative field
- Five (5) years working in community/public health and diversity/inclusion fields
- Master’s degree preferred
- Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating community programs
- Experience in developing relationships with diverse populations
- Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $81,245.00 - $116,938.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
