Summary of Job Duties:
The Master Business Systems Developer supports Information Technology Services as well as other UAMS departments in their use of the Service Management tool, ServiceNow, as well as some interfaced applications.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study with 4 years IT experience or IT operational experience or any combination of the two -OR- Bachelor's Degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study with 6 years IT experience or IT operational experience or any combination of the two
- 3 years User Interface (UI) software development and support using one of the following tools: VB.NET, Java, Angler JS, or other comparable programming language.
- Experience with AD/LDAP integration for user authentication, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Internet based UI development, and Client/Server UI development.
- 2 years Microsoft SQL database development experience.
- 3 years’ experience with report development and/or Analytical Dashboard development using one of the following: MS Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Power BI (or SQL Server BI), Qlik, Tableau.
- 2 years’ experience with T-SQL or other similar scripting languages

Additional Information:

- Exhibits expert knowledge and proficiency on overall software functionality.
- Develops, modifies, and enforces procedures and software techniques to solve complex support issues.
- Responsible for system build, testing, implementation support and maintenance of assigned modules/applications, ensuring that service level agreements and deadlines are met.
- Expected to perform project tasks such as software development, software implementation, application maintenance, application troubleshooting, software upgrades, software testing, and custom report writing, in individual and team member roles.
- Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it.
- Oversees the review and testing of each product release and communicates needed changes to user community.
- Must be able to document and follow change control procedures for all systems as well as lead the development of department programming standards and helps to enforce the development standards in a production environment.
- Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization.
- Prepares activity and other reports as necessary.
- Attains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy. Provides On-Call support for application.
