Product Lead:  Security & Alarm (Remote, US, Canada)

At EverCommerce [Nasdaq: EVCM], we are on a mission to digitally transform the service economy with tailored, end-to-end SaaS solutions that simplify and empower the lives of our 685,000+ customers.  As a leading service commerce platform, our modern digital and mobile applications create predictable, informed, and convenient experiences between customers and their service professionals in the areas of Home & Field Services, Health Services, and Fitness & Wellness industries.

We are building an extraordinary company and looking for talented, energetic, and motivated people to join our team. You can learn more about our Company, Culture and Values here: https://careers.evercommerce.com/us/en.

The Security & Alarm division of EverCommerce is looking for a Sr. Product Manager to join our product management team. This contributor will be responsible for product planning and execution of our products. This will include gathering product, customer, competitive and market requirements, conducting market research, and defining the product vision by working closely with internal and external teams.

You:

Nothing makes you feel better than owning the business management of a product and its commercial success. A fast-paced day makes you feel energized rather than drained, and you are at your best when you are translating business strategy into product strategy. You love to dig into product capabilities and key customer use cases to identify pain points and/or opportunities for improvement that can be included in the product roadmap.

This role reports directly to the Head of Product, Product Management for the EverCommerce Security and Alarm division, and will drive product profitability and commercial success. You will guide product(s) through product life cycle (ideation, development, production, maintenance and end of life). You will have successfully led a business-to-business (B2B) enterprise software product and are an innovative thinker who is dependable, committed, and passionate about delighting the customer.

Us:

The Security & Alarm division serves the electronic security industry with the most comprehensive array of alarm monitoring and integrated business management software solutions tailored to achieve optimal business performance. Bold Group’s product portfolio features the renowned alarm monitoring systems Manitou, Stages™, and SIMS. These leading alarm monitoring systems are complemented by the industry’s top accounting and business management systems: the SedonaOffice suite and the award winning Managely ERP solution.

EverCommerce is bringing together best-of-breed commerce solutions in the service sector, forming one service commerce platform that improves go-to-market-strategy for technology companies and simplifies the software buying process for business owners. Our ecosystem enables companies to thrive in an environment of shared knowledge and resources with significant cost savings.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, own, and drive the process for capturing and documenting the product requirements deemed necessary for servicing our existing market and industry, taking into consideration existing constraints, technology trends, as well as competitive benchmarking and analysis.

  • Advocate for our products with customers through the definition phase and collect feedback for use in defining the product roadmap & future market needs.

  • Work closely with Management, Development, Sales and Operations teams to successfully drive product(s) from product definition to development through to end of life.

  • Identify and resolve issues which inhibit the fulfillment of product commitments.

  • Conduct primary research to discover customer pain points and identify market opportunities.

  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from definition through deployment and support activities.

  • Perform TAM analysis and model revenue opportunities, as necessary to define and achieve our shared business goals.

  • Engage with the sales and marketing teams, as requested, as a subject-matter-expert (SME) and thought leader in the alarm monitoring software industry.

  • Work with product marketing to develop clear, consistent, and compelling value propositions and messaging that differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors.

  • Assist in the identification of new external partnership and acquisition opportunities based on a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and our customers’ needs.

  • Partner with development, designers and broader UX teams to build software that is useful, useable, delights and solves real customer pain points.

  • Represent EverCommerce in the public arena, serving as the voice of our products at conferences, events, online and with potential prospects, customers and business partners.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • Pragmatic Institute framework experience and certification, or equivalent, for Product Managers is highly desired.

  • 4-year technical degree, preferably in EE or CS or 5 years Product Management Experience in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to collaborate with the engineering, professional services, and support teams to develop and maintain our product offerings.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and a diverse range of internal stakeholders via all methods of communication.

  • Ability to negotiate and drive customer priorities.

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing a product from initial research through execution.

  • Ability to articulate and document, in sufficient detail, product requirements for delivery teams.

  • Ability to effectively influence multiple constituencies internally and externally without direct organizational management responsibility.

  • Works on diverse to complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

  • A strong bias for action and results and the ability to establish clear priorities.

  • An obsession for product discovery activities – distilling and documenting the jobs that are enabled by our solutions and improving the overall user experience.

  • Strong listening, influencing, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Customer-centric mindset, results oriented, self-starter and able to work independently.

  • Experienced in agile product planning and development methodologies.
