Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to process pharmacovigilance data from various sources including ARGUS, complaint systems, and other safety systems
- Implement data integration and ETL processes using Databricks to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and pharmacovigilance experts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices and monitoring systems
- Optimize data workflows and storage solutions to improve efficiency and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide technical support to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong proficiency in Databricks and experience with ETL processes and data integration
- Familiarity with pharmacovigilance data and safety systems such as ARGUS
- Proficient in SQL and other database management systems
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Certification in Databricks or related technologies
- Experience with additional data tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala
