Job description

Job Summary:

On the Solar Support team, you are the IGS Solar brand champion, supporting external customers through empathy, education, and advocacy. Our mission is to approach each customer individually and create customized solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Approach customer interactions with a solutions oriented mindset while demonstrating active listening and empathy.

  • Demonstrate full understanding of current IGS Solar and IGS Community Solar programs and processes; communicate clearly to customers in order to assist them in making informed decisions.

  • Collaborate with immediate and extended teams in managing outbound call campaigns, team coverage, identifying trends, and providing optimal customer resolutions.

  • Perform Collections specific tasks by partnering with customers to collect on outstanding balances through making and receiving phone calls. This involves educating customers on the product, negotiating payment plans, and making recommendations to resolve and prevent outstanding balances.

  • Provide follow up as needed on customer inquiries to ensure resolution satisfies our customers and meets all internal expectations.

  • Navigate systems, procedures, and other resources to provide accurate and timely resolution to customer inquiries.

  • Ability to achieve goals with a balance of quality and timeliness by utilizing a high level of urgency and prioritizing job responsibilities to appropriately address departmental tasks. 

  • Using your elevated knowledge expertise, you will be responsible for resolving research requests through investigation and partnership with other areas of the business in a timely manner that meets business expectations.

  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Strong relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness, reliability, and integrity

  • Ability to empathize with customers and deescalate sensitive billing and service related issues. 

  • Genuine desire to grow and learn, receptive to feedback as well as ability to contribute positively to a team-oriented work environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain productivity levels

  • Basic knowledge of Windows, MS Office Suite, and Internet Explorer

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred 2 years minimum related work experience

Salary Range:

$36,480.00 - $54,720.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.

This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance, as well as team or individual incentives.
