Role Overview:

New York Life’s protection-first advice and guidance methodology takes a holistic approach to providing sound financial advice.  Our GuideMe platform is the digital planning ecosystem that helps our agents bring this approach to life – designed to modernize our agents’ case design and presentation abilities to meet the evolving expectations of modern consumers.

 

GuideMe client data drives individual algorithms and outcomes, as well as platform-level value and opportunities - the Senior Associate will be responsible for development and optimization of both of these spaces.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Present complex data in clear, understandable formats to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights.
  • Analyze GuideMe data and communicate results through impactful visualizations.
  • Provide timely data to support senior leadership decision-making.
  • Develop and optimize GuideMe algorithms – particularly using a data-driven approach.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proficiency in data visualization for storytelling.
  • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL, business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), and Big Data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark).
  • Strong analytical skills in Excel; experience with R, Python, or similar programming languages preferred.
  • Expertise in data visualization and relational databases for generating insights from large datasets.
  • Ability to find creative solutions and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in modeling and familiarity with insurance, financial products, and consumer financial planning is a plus.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:  $85,000-$125,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
