Job description

AllBooked by Skedda is our business unit focused on community-oriented spaces. Our customers include athletic facilities, studios, creative spaces, event venues, community centers, and coworking spaces. We’re experiencing significant growth in our AllBooked segment, making it an exciting time to join the AllBooked team.

Role overview

We’re looking for a strong UX Designer to serve as the lead designer for our AllBooked business unit. Reporting directly to our VP and GM of AllBooked, this role will own the designs for all enhancements to our AllBooked product. This will be an exciting, high impact role with a lot of potential for growth. You will be expected to wear a wide variety of hats (design and otherwise!) and will need to be comfortable working through ambiguity. You’ll span the full spectrum of work from spec’ing the details of components all the way to contributing to our product strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with two other UX designers who work in other parts of Skedda’s business.  If you consider yourself a design generalist who enjoys quickly learning new things then this role could be perfect for you.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and other departments throughout the full product development lifecycle
  • Help lead and conduct generative and evaluative user research to inform our prioritization and design decisions
  • Create low fidelity concepts and wireframes to help us explore and rapidly iterate on potential solutions
  • Deliver high quality designs and specs to clearly communicate design requirements to the engineering team
  • Help maintain and improve our design system and core components to maintain a consistent experience

About you

  • You’re a strong verbal and written communicator
  • You’re a systems thinker who can help bring clarity to complex ideas
  • You keep customer needs top of mind during your design and decision making process
  • You have a high bar for quality and a strong attention to detail
  • You’re excited by wearing many hats and taking on new challenges
  • You welcome feedback to improve your skills and work
  • You take initiative and work with a healthy sense of urgency
  • You’re scrappy and find a way to just get the job done

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a UX or Product Design role, ideally working on a modern web app with an emphasis on responsive design
  • Strong proficiency with Figma
  • Firsthand experience conducting user research
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices
  • Basic technical proficiency with HTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, benefits package, and paid time off
  • Creative and collaborative work environment
  • Direct exposure to the leadership team across departments
  • Be empowered to leave a significant mark on the product and the customers
