Job description

Immediate need for an Account Manager for a privately held, global specialty chemical company with headquarters in Suwanee, GA (Atlanta). We deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions to our customers globally in supporting their manufacturing and finished products.  We are looking for a Candidate who is located within a 90 minute commute to Suwanee, GA (Atlanta area) for training and other occasional in office needs.

Job Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for taking orders and ensuring that all orders are entered into company systems and fulfilled according to documented processes. This position works with various suppliers and third parties to purchase, ship, clear store and deliver the correct material in accordance with customer specifications.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesEducation & Experience
  • Associate’s degree in supply chain, business or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or customer-focused role required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team; Ability to build rapport and interface with individuals at different levels, both internally and externally
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to adapt communication style for audience
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and follow-up
  • Results-oriented attitude; Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to develop innovative approaches and ideas for improving efficiency and effectiveness; Ability to bring operational insight to strategic discussions
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively and meet deadlines accordingly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint and Excel, and ability to quickly learn industry-specific software; Ability to work across multiple software platforms
