This position is eligible for a remote work schedule.


 We are seeking a driven and experienced sales professional to manage a portfolio of assigned accounts within the Carrier Ecosystem, including regional carriers, general contractors, neutral hosts, and major carrier construction and project management teams. The role requires significant relationship building and sales development, with a focus on growing Tessco’s market share, developing new accounts, and expanding existing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management:
     Manage a portfolio of 30-125 relationships, focusing on in-depth, high-frequency, quality engagements to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • New Business Development:
     Identify, target, and create new customer opportunities by pinpointing key decision makers and executing a strategic selling approach that positions Tessco’s value proposition effectively.
  • Consultative Sales Approach:
     Develop consultative relationships to explore total addressable opportunities across all customer levels, embedding value into every sales opportunity.
  • Sales Metrics:
     Maintain a high level of sales activity to meet daily targets, develop a robust sales funnel, and consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and profitability goals.
  • CRM and Reporting:
     Utilize Salesforce.com and Tessco’s internal systems to manage and track customer interactions, ensuring an organized and effective sales process.
  • Vendor Engagement:
     Collaborate with Tessco vendors and suppliers, leveraging training and engagement opportunities to enhance your product knowledge and sales effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Industry Expertise:
     Demonstrated knowledge of the Carrier Ecosystem, General Contractor markets, and the telecommunications landscape.
  • Relationship Building Skills:
     Proven ability to develop and manage strong relationships via phone, virtual, and in-person interactions. Relationships within T-Mobile are a plus.  
  • Communication Skills:
     Articulate, persuasive, and influential communicator with exceptional active listening skills.
  • Sales Acumen:
     Strong strategic account planning and consultative selling abilities, with a focus on driving revenue and cross-sales growth.
  • Presentation & Interpersonal Skills:
     Excellent presentation abilities, complemented by highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Self-Management:
     Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment, while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education:
     Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant relevant experience considered.
  • Experience:
     3-5 years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience with a successful track record of meeting revenue and profit targets year over year.
  • Technical Skills:
     Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Salesforce.com is a plus.
