Job description

We are a profitable, organically growing, thriving fintech company that provides quality financial solutions for people whose needs go unmet by traditional institutions.  We are dedicated to reshaping the fintech landscape to improve the lives of vulnerable populations. We serve people with complex needs and those who care for them. We are mission-driven and we feel lucky and humbled to wake up in the morning knowing that we have a profound impact on our customers’ lives.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager who enjoys exploring problem spaces to generate solutions that lead to growth in existing and adjacent markets.  The work involves aligning and balancing market needs with business and technical impact.  This role is ideal for someone who takes a hypothesis-led approach to product management, is adept at navigating the complexities of financial services, and enjoys creating products that have a meaningful impact.

Our product team plays multiple roles in solution shaping and value delivery.  The hats our product team wears vary throughout the day from client & internal expert collaborator, to technical documentation writer & translator, to design thinker & doer.  We’ll need all of the tools in your toolbelt to focus on enabling growth while making sure we don’t sacrifice quality.

What You'll Do

  • Start with  understanding our customers, prospects, and their needs to find insights and shape growth priorities

  • Drive our growth initiative backlog, balancing short-term wins with long-term visions

  • Build and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and foster continuous learning within the team

  • Build full-stack fintech products from a modern digital customer-centric user experience to the depths of payment rails

  • Communicate and collaborate through leading conversations and building written deliverables in tools such as: Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and Figma

  • Employ data tools and SQL to get to the heart of what’s happening (good or bad) with charts and metrics so that we can make better decisions

Who You Are

  • Experience as a product manager withleading aone or more growing products and have at a Fintech SaaS company with less than 100 employees

  • Ready to bring a toolkit for approaching different product management situations

  • Thrive on market validation techniques and adept at shifting from problem solving mode to implementation mode

  • Understanding of financial technology, its complexities, and industry trends

  • Skilled at navigating complex products in ambiguous environments while growing product and market presence

  • Able to generate deep and specific customer insight and use evidence to guide product decisions

  • Excel in fast-paced settings and are able to learn from new information and make tactical adjustments accordingly

  • Top-notch communicator in both writing and speech.  Whether it’s articulating a product strategy or discussing technical specs, you’re comfortable communicating cross-functionally with teammates and clients

  • Deeply curious about how qualitative changes interact with quantitative outcomes to reveal deeper insights into the impact that the product is having

  • Inspired more by execution, managing for excellence, and customer impact than by coming up with big ideas or tracking the latest trends in venture capital. Not an empire builder

  • Recognize the value of uncertainty, understanding that it’s more valuable to be aware when you don’t know, than to assume certainty in ambiguous situations

Why You’ll Love Us

  • We’ve got the energy and passion of a startup combined with the professionalism of a financial services firm and the compassion of a mission-driven organization that truly cares about each other and the people we serve.

  • With fifty million Americans in our addressable market, we are catering to tons of people who need our products and services across the country - and we’ve got the potential to reach many more.

  • Our customers are not only grateful for our services but are the absolute best. We have the privilege of providing financial protection for vulnerable members of society and partnering with expert service providers to do so. Our customers and partners love us, and we love them back. You can sleep soundly every night knowing you are doing a really wonderful thing by getting our services into more hands.

  • We treat one another like we treat our customers: with respect and dignity. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are cultural values we take very seriously, and we welcome and recruit team members of all backgrounds and identities.

  • We offer competitive wages, health, dental and vision coverage, paid parental leave, 12 paid holidays each year, your own professional development budget, and an awesome vacation package.

  • We like to have fun together! The majority of us work from home from all across the US, and we enjoy connecting virtually for laughs with teammates, and appearances of kiddos and furry friends over Zoom. We also meet up in-person: we have small offices in San Francisco and in Kingston NY, and we also love our in-person team get-togethers around the country.

If you are a high-performing person who wants to join a diverse, inclusive team and use your skills to make a real impact in people’s lives, we invite you to apply to join our team.
