We are hiring a Senior Specialist, HR Compliance as a new position within our Reward Center of Excellence. This role is designed for someone who possesses a robust understanding of HR compliance regulations and best practices and you will be accountable for ensuring our organization adheres to all local, state, federal and international employment laws, as well as industry standards.
As a key member of the Performance & Reward Center of Excellence, the Senior Specialist, HR Compliance will:
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on the development & application of HR policies and practices, ensuring compliance with all local, national and international laws and regulations.
- Conduct audits & reviews of global/regional/national HR programs to identify areas of concern and collaborate with the Reward and HR teams to develop solutions that are not only legally compliant but consistent with Glanbia’s values and global strategy.
- Devise creative solutions and make recommendations on how to improve the design and/or application of HR policies and practices to ensure best practice models are applied as well as seeking opportunities to standardize and harmonize benefit offerings.
- Drive and promote a culture of HR and Benefit compliance within Glanbia by developing standard working practices that ensures compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Develop compliant work practices which contribute to the delivery of mandatory & voluntary reporting standards, such as EEO and Vets reporting in the US , the European Sustainability Reporting Standards and pay & benefit transparency initiatives.
- Work closely with Global Benefit Broker to understand emerging trends and regulatory developments as well as working to ensure local and regional compliance for existing benefit offerings.
- Stay up-to-date and advise on all legal developments, industry trends and best practices to ensure programs & policies remain competitive & compliant.
- Collaborate to develop global initiatives with local applications. Work toward a simplified global HR & benefit strategy with locally applied, compliant solutions.
- Partner with Benefit Leads to build a Governance structure within Glanbia for how new Benefits and Leaves are introduced and/or existing benefits enhanced.
- Collaborate with Compensation/Reward Lead to ensure compliant delivery of all Benefit related allowances as well as ensuring Total Reward compliance between salaries and benefits.
- Collaborate with Payroll to ensure all mandatory benefit reporting standards are visible & accurate on pay slips within relevant country legislations.
- Collaborate with Digital HR on HRIS configurations for PTO and LOAs ensuring they are up to date, regularly reviewed and adapted for updated regulations.
- Collaborate with Process Excellence team to ensure policies are compliant, published and accessible to all relevant employees.
- Collaborate with the People Success Organization to ensure the compliant delivery of all Benefit & Leave processes within their remit.
Skills and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience within HR compliance
- Strong knowledge of international, federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver compliance initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and HRIS systems
In addition to a profound knowledge of compliance requirements, the Senior Specialist, HR Compliance will be expected to develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that promote a culture of compliance within the organization. You will collaborate closely across our global HR team to educate and train employees on compliance matters, thereby reducing risk and ensuring a fair and equitable workplace. This role will work diligently to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, while developing corrective action plans to address these issues. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in auditing and evaluating HR processes, preparing reports, and maintaining compliance records.
