MaxMind (www.maxmind.com) is looking for a talented Corporate Paralegal to join our team. We help protect thousands of companies worldwide from fraud, screening over three billion online transactions each year, and we provide IP intelligence data to thousands more. We are hiring anywhere in the following US states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, LA, MA, MN, MT, NC, NJ, NV, NY State (excluding New York City and Yonkers), OR, PA, RI, TX, WA, & WV. There is some flexibility with working hours, but the role will require you to work closely with the legal team located in the Eastern Time zone.
This is a full time remote position.

The Position
We are looking for a Corporate Paralegal to support our in-house legal team. You will be responsible for tracking contracts and other legal documents from early negotiation stages through to termination. The role will include recording contractual obligations in various internal systems, and coordinating with our legal, business development, operations and accounts receivable teams to ensure records are accurately recorded and updated. You will also be responsible for drafting various documents and providing support to MaxMind’s internal legal team on a variety of matters as they arise.
Our salary range for the Corporate Paralegal role is $100,000 - $120,000 USD, with specific offers dependent on skills and experience. See more about benefits and compensation below.
Minimum Qualifications Four years working experience as a paralegal supporting a company’s legal department or a law firm working on corporate matters.Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage workflow.Ability to read and understand standard contract provisions. (Some general knowledge of data privacy laws is a plus but not required).Ability to work confidently and to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, legal professionals and non-legal professionals.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Working at MaxMind

Our Interview Process
One of the first steps in our interviewing process is a homework assignment. The homework assignment requires a brief written analysis in response to a question, and is only sent to applicants that we are seriously considering. The next step of our interview process would be a first round interview with members of our legal team. This interview will cover questions specific to the role. Next, there would be a final interview with our COO and another member of the team. That interview would be a more general / behavioral interview. The final step of our hiring process is reference checking.
