Job description

Stafi has an opening for an experienced Probate and Estate Planning Paralegal to assist one of our clients by providing clerical and research support services, including drafting documents for preparation and review, fact-checking for our cases, and aiding in litigation matters.

Note: Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Only resumes in English will be considered. This application is open to individuals who permanently reside in any Latin American country.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the administration of probate estates, including drafting and filing of probate pleadings, preparing and filing court forms, and managing the probate process from start to finish.
  • Work with clients to gather and organize necessary documents and information for probate administration and estate planning.
  • Prepare and file estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including correspondence and pleadings.
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and other parties involved in probate administration and estate planning matters.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, prioritize work assignments, and maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Efficiently managing the e-filing process for various legal documents, including but not limited to motions, requests, and other court-related materials, ensuring timely submissions and accurate record-keeping.
  • Diligently monitoring and adhering to all court-mandated deadlines, as well as any other relevant time-sensitive matters, while providing assistance in drafting and managing correspondence with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Professionally handling incoming phone calls, addressing inquiries and routing them to the appropriate parties, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working in a US probate law firm.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and drafting legal documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
