The Job:  

As a Director of Channel Marketing, HTAS – Farm and Hardware, you’ll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as a remote employee. You’ll get to:  

  • Work with commercial and cross-functional partners to develop and execute the channel marketing strategies, and plans for our diverse base of Farm & Hardware customers.
  • Lead the HTAS Farm and Hardware Channel team, with a focus on developing both business, functional, and leadership capabilities across all levels.
  • Partner with the Commercial, Product, Brand, Supply Chain and Finance leadership to develop strategic growth initiatives, including product, online merchandising, and promotion strategies.
  • Define and lead the execution of channel marketing strategies across the customer base to maximize visibility, placement and brand strength while improving customer experience.
  • Guide cross-functional team through customer meeting and show preparation, with a focus on presenting new products, merchandising, and promotional strategies to buyers and successfully executing market communication plans and new product launches.
  • Analyze and track POS, inventory, market share, and competitive landscapes; track program/promotional effectiveness and recommend changes and improvements, provide updates to leadership as required.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Finance teams to manage listings, maximizing sales and profitability via mix management, promotional opportunities, planograms, and pricing actions.
  • Make sound business decisions to drive top and bottom lines, driven by a holistic understanding of the channel P&L.
  • Up to 40% travel required.

The Person:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of Product, Sales, Finance and/or Marketing experience with a record of demonstrated achievement in sales growth and margin accretion; Previous Channel Marketing Experience strongly preferred
  • Project management, collaboration, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated success communicating effectively with all levels of the business
  • Advanced analytical skills with strong understanding of key business and financial metrics such as Sales, Gross Margins, Operating Margins, Inventory Turns, etc.
  • Customer-focused, can-do mindset with a passion for problem-solving and commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
  • Passion for people and team leadership and development; past experience effectively leading teams either formally or informally
  • Experience navigating a complex organization and changing priorities and while exercising attention to detail; proven ability to manage deadlines and maintain focus on high-impact work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite and other ERP Systems (SAP, BW, Salesforce, etc.)
