Summary of Position Responsibility:
The Technical Sales Representative, Industrial will lead technical sales and resulting Velcro brand product specification within assigned B2B Industry markets to increase revenue, profitability, and market penetration. The Incumbent should reside in the Southeast area of the U.S. within commuting distance to major airport.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Drive application engineering and spec-in business development activities for construction, solar, packaging, apparel, and other assigned B2B segments.
Devise and execute a technical sales growth plan that meets high-revenue growth objectives. Focus on customer engineering and program management decision makers to specify Velcro brand products within their manufactured product designs.
Manage lead qualification, and all phases of opportunity management to efficiently launch Velcro brand products into multiple new applications. Handle commercial negotiations and account management for assigned accounts.
Efficiently coordinate Velcro engineering and project management activity with customers through concept, prototype, design/validation, and production design/ launch phases to ensure perfect quality, delivery, and maximum profitability.
Provide commercial updates into sales pipeline management.
Develop and implement technical proposals and spec-in activities for hook and loop fasteners and adhesive tape products into the North American Industrial segments.
Coordinate global customer accounts with Velcro counterparts in Europe, Asia, and South America.
Prepare technical presentations and proposals to support Quarterly Business Reviews with customers.
Other duties may be assigned or required for the performance of this position.
Knowledge & Experience (Minimum Job Qualifications):
Bachelor’s Degree: Engineering Degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in technical sales or application engineering within industrial B2B markets.
Background in working with spec-in of technical products with experience in cutting, sewing, laminating, sonic welding, fasteners, and adhesives preferred.
