Job Description

Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Supervisors to supervise our SLPAs Qualified SLPs with a passion to mentor and guide SLPAs can work as Independent Contractor to start supervising up to 4 part-time or 2 full-time (as per the guidelines of California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board).

What You Will Do

  • Provide 1-2 hours of direct/indirect virtual supervision per SLPA per week as outlined by CA guidelines. Total commitment depends on the number of SLPAs supervising. Ex; if supervising 4 SLPAs, the commitment would be 5-10 hours per week
  • Provide direct/indirect support, supervision, and mentoring to SLPAs

Supervision Responsibilities

  • 1:1 meeting with SLPAs weekly to review client progress and training for therapy strategies
  • Indirect supervision to include documentation review or observations
  • Document supervision activities
  • Completion of medical model progress notes/discharge summaries as needed for clients (5-10 minutes per note)
  • Follow guidelines as set forth by the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board

Compensation

1099 | $100 weekly per SLPA Supervised

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active CA State Speech Language Pathologist License
  • Active ASHA CCC's
  • Have updated Professional Development CEUs in supervision before beginning supervision: Initial 6 hours and 3 hours every other 4 years
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an SLP
  • Experience with Language, Articulation, Fluency, & Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
  • Experience with mentoring for Early Intervention (EI) up to young adults in a private practice model is a plus
  • Experience with Behavior management for telehealth is a plus
  • Experience with medical model documentation requirements is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
