Position Overview

The Director of Battery Storage Construction will lead and oversee all aspects of the construction of battery storage systems. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with engineering specifications and regulatory standards. The Director will manage construction teams, coordinate activities from site preparation through installation to final commissioning, and ensure the successful delivery of battery storage projects.

Requirements

Responsabilities:

  • Direct and manage the construction team, establishing clear objectives and ensuring construction activities align with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and safety on-site, providing guidance and oversight throughout the construction process.
  • Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and resource allocations for battery storage projects, ensuring all technical and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Oversee daily construction operations, managing site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all construction activities are performed according to engineering drawings, industry standards, and safety protocols, including installation of battery systems, inverters, and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control assessments to verify that construction work meets design specifications and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the permitting process for battery storage construction projects, coordinating with regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all construction practices comply with local, state, and federal codes and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to address design and technical challenges during construction, ensuring effective communication and coordination between departments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with project managers, regulatory bodies, utility companies, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in battery storage or energy construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing the construction of battery storage systems.
  • Strong understanding of battery storage construction methods, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Proven track record of managing complex construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and safety requirements.
