ROLE OVERVIEW:

Leads a team accountable for injecting rigor and delivering visibility into salty customer plans, providing critical insights and analytics into the customer-focused growth plans for the Salty organization. Customer Planning & Analytics is responsible for having deep knowledge and understanding of customer growth plans across building blocks and key events, providing objective and fact-based perspective on customer-centric growth. Team is also accountable to deliver monthly updates to customer plans into Integrated Business Management processes, explaining variances and providing context into key customer initiatives and growth outlook.  This position is a key planning lead for customer inputs, whose team is responsible for providing independent analysis and rigor against customer building blocks and initiatives (e.g. promo/merch, distribution, innovation). The team is a key partner to the salty sales organization, to gain deep understanding of the qualitative & quantitative aspects of their respective growth plans, providing analysis to inform growth plans and assumptions. Salty Customer Planning & Analytics also partners with the sales teams to bring broader visibility to key promotional events and activations to provide a singular source of truth for customer growth.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Communicating customer growth plans and assumptions behind them as well as changes vs prior cycles in IBM process
  • Maintaining reporting to provide visibility and transparency to key customer growth drivers (e.g. promotions & merchandising)
  • Actively research and incorporate all sources of market, customer and sales intelligence data pertaining to assigned customers / channels to pressure test customer growth plans by combining internal and external view with customer insights and independent analysis of relevant data streams
  • Act as a subject matter expert for salty customer growth plans, key plan drivers and customer dynamics (e.g. promotional programs, historical performance, etc)
  • Provide unbiased, data-driven perspective of customer plans to properly inform business unit consensus and planning stance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Customer Planning Dynamics (Sales & Trade Planning/Management)
  • Analyzing Large and Disparate Data Sets to Drive Planning Decisions (e.g. syndicated market data, sales planning data)
  • Clear, Concise, Effective Communication

 

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ sales and/or planning experience; Addt’l positions requiring the use of quantitative methods to analyze situations and solve business problem are preferred.
