Job description

Hello, we’re ScreenCloud!

Founded in 2015 and with 10,000+ customers around the globe, ScreenCloud is a cloud-based SaaS company, employing over 100 people in our Bangkok, Belfast, LA, Charlotte and London hubs.

At ScreenCloud, we’re hard at work helping businesses to make stronger connections at scale, and with those who are most important to them; their employees & their customers. By using the screens on their walls & the content in their systems, we enable the sales, productivity & engagement that keep our customers’ businesses thriving.

We’re very proud of our product and we’re also incredibly proud of our people. It’s our ‘ScreenClouders’ and the culture they nurture that will take us where other companies just can’t go. So if you’re someone looking to join a team of talented individuals, apply below!

The Role
Studio is the app that powers all of ScreenCloud. Users sign up, then use Studio as a CMS to design content for screens, access our app store, manage their physical devices, and much more.

As a QA Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of a cross-functional team, including Product, Design, Development, and QA, all working together with full ownership over each project. You’ll help ensure that every feature meets our high standards for quality, usability, and performance while driving technical excellence throughout the testing and development process.

Since this is a product designed for TV screens, the end result is a highly visual experience, offering plenty of exciting challenges to keep an inquisitive QA Engineer engaged for the long term!

Responsibilities
  • Triage bugs to the appropriate team, providing strong, detailed descriptions when creating issue tickets and highlighting key issues.
  • Create, manage, and execute detailed test plans and strategies, covering both manual and automated testing, using tools like Playwright, Postman, and Testmo.
  • Conduct manual testing, including sanity, smoke, and regression tests, to ensure the quality and reliability of key features and bug fixes.
  • Write and maintain test automation packs using the Playwright framework to enhance test coverage and accelerate the testing process.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the CMS platform, including its functionalities and how it integrates with apps displayed on various hardware devices.
  • Work closely with team members, including product, developers and designers, to ensure the delivery of reliable, user-friendly digital signage solutions, focusing on thorough testing and validation to meet high-quality standards.
  • Use best-in-class tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, and Sentry to read metrics and logs from our platform, alongside local debugging tools like Chrome DevTools. We’ll help you get up to speed with them all—you’ll never be held back by not having the right tools for the job!
  • Get involved with prototypes and MVPs to experiment with the constant stream of ideas for where we take digital screens next. Then, help get the best of these into the hands of real customers.

  • Requirements
  • You have experience testing UIs and other user-facing functionalities, whether on the web, mobile, or as part of internal-facing tools.
  • You have experience in both manual and automated testing environments.
  • You have worked in teams where quality is a core part of the process, with all work verified before going live and the results of QA tracked alongside each release.
  • You work best in teams, collaborating both with the developers in your team and with other teams in the business to dig into the trickiest problems.
  • You have a good ability to adapt and adjust easily to new priorities, projects, and environments, especially in agile settings.
  • You’re a detail-oriented person, ensuring tickets always get the right level of information, and you can take big tasks and divide them sensibly into small, actionable pieces.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Bonus Skills
  • You have experience working directly with Support teams and other parts of the company to understand reports from users and identify common issues they encounter.
  • You like to tinker with novel tech and hardware. Our apps mean we’re constantly working with the newest services on the web, along with a steady stream of new hardware devices (Android TV boxes and smart TVs in particular).
  • You enjoy the challenge of hunting for patterns and logically narrowing scenarios down further and further until you find the smallest reproducible pattern.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and experience testing GraphQL APIs.
  • Interview Process and Experience

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At ScreenCloud, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles!

If you require any reasonable adjustments, please let our friendly recruitment team know.
