In this Senior Analyst, Marketing Analytics role you will help drive Ancestry's success by leading marketing campaign reporting and conducting deep dives into marketing channel performance to optimize campaign efficiency. You will contribute insights to campaign and site optimizations by analyzing A/B and multivariate tests, and perform behavioral analysis on customer segments to inform our personalization strategy. Reporting to the Marketing Analytics Manager, you will partner across the organization to apply insights and drive Ancestry’s marketing strategy.

What You'll Do:

  • Translate complex business questions into solid analyses that result in actionable recommendations around driving growth in customer acquisition and marketing investment. 

  • Conduct advanced data analysis to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across various campaigns and GTM strategies.

  • Lead cross-channel marketing campaign reporting, establish reporting requirements, and deliver timely insights about campaign performance.

  • Function as a partner to marketing channel leads and conduct deep dive analysis into channel performance, including paid media, email and organic search.

  • Create A/B testing frameworks with sound hypotheses around site and marketing campaign optimizations, validate implementation and ensure statistical significance.

  • Collect and analyze broad data from both internal and external sources to drive understanding of conversion rate, upper funnel, profitability, and acquisition.

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the success of marketing initiatives, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and analysis. 

  • Develop clear and impactful presentations to stakeholders and marketing leadership.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM-related field preferred or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years of experience in analyzing marketing campaign performance

  • Experience with paid media marketing channel analyses (search, social, display, or TV)

  • Excellent collaboration, communication and presentation skills

  • Proactive, agile, and skilled in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Proficiency with advanced Excel, SQL (writing and optimizing queries), and Tableau 

  • Firm understanding of A/B and multivariate testing 

  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), Matched Market Testing, or Multi-Touch Attribution methods a plus

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $100,800 - $134,400 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision.
