Global PSS Manager

We are seeking a Global Product and Support Specialist (PSS) to lead the Global Product Sales Support team in driving strategic alignment and fostering growth, primarily within the Cell Discovery product group, while also supporting stakeholders across Bioscience.
TheGlobal PSS Manager Leader for Cell Biology and Transfection will provide specialized technical support and leadership, driving sales and business development success within their area of expertise.
This role includes leading large-scale strategic projects, developing tools and processes to support commercial teams, and serving as a key contributor to business expansion. The PSS Leader will oversee a team, manage cross-functional collaborations, and offer expert guidance to sales, marketing, and product management teams.
The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing complex technical projects and customer relationships.
Key responsibilities:
Build a high performance global team of deep technical and subject matter experts to leverage customer application knowledge and support as a key differentiator.
Set clear goals and KPIs and manage team performance and development according to aligned standards of excellence.
Work in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Operations teams to develop and oversee sales strategies and positioning campaigns, associated pre-sales activities, and sales and customer training
Provide consultative sales support and foster collaboration across Lonza teams and divisions
Manage complex customer needs, identify trends and recommend strategies to capitalize on new opportunities
Drive large projects in support of the business strategy and directly manage key strategic accounts if required
Key requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences is required, with a Master’s or Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry, with 5-10 years at an advanced level in GMP Manufacturing, people management, and sales & marketing.
Relevant certifications, such as ACCA, GPHR, CIPS, or PgMP, are advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in English at a business level is essential.
