Description

We are seeking a dynamic and thorough People Operations Generalist to join our team, focusing on crafting operational efficiencies, enhancing employee experience, and driving data-informed decisions. This role will work closely with HR leadership and business leaders to ensure that People operations are seamless, scalable, and aligned with the organization’s goals. The People Operations Generalist will serve as a key partner to managers, providing expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and optimize HR processes, ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations.
  • See opportunities for improving workflows, automation, and systems to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Manage the administration of key HR programs, including employee onboarding, offboarding, personnel changes, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Champion an outstanding employee experience, creating a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment across all stages of the employee lifecycle.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee queries and concerns, resolving issues in a timely and thoughtful manner.
  • Collaborate with leadership on employee engagement initiatives and culture initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Leverage HR metrics and analytics to drive data-informed recommendations in areas such as retention, engagement, talent development and the advancement of Equity/Inclusion.
  • Build solid relationships with managers and department heads, offering guidance on HR standard methodologies, talent development, and performance management.
  • Advise leaders on employee relations issues, maintaining compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational planning efforts to support business growth.
  • Continuously champion, promote, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence at Waterford.org
  • Collaborate on and contribute to organizational DEI efforts and goals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR roles, preferably in a generalist capacity.
  • Solid knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, and compliance.
  • Proven experience in handling employee relations, HR operations, and performance management.
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to partner with leaders at all levels.
  • A passion for creating an outstanding employee experience and driving a positive workplace culture.

Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate this full time, hourly position will pay $70,000-78,000 per year depending on the education, experience and skill level of the individual we hire. We also offer a phenomenal benefits package that includes fully paid primary premiums for health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, and disability insurance. New hires receive a one-time HSA contribution. Retirement contributions are matched up to 5% by the organization. Plus, a generous vacation, sick, and holiday offering.
